Description | The project for which RFPQ are being accepted will involve the restoration of approximately 3,730 linear feet of Gross Run and tributaries starting at Tom Avenue and extending downstream towards Lake Street. The purpose of the proposed stream corridor restoration project is to meet sediment load reduction goals for the Borough by eliminating contributing sources of sediment supply from Gross Run to the receiving waters of Calico Creek. The project goals are to provide stable flow conveyance to downstream resources, maximize reduction of nutrient and sediment loads, and maximize ecological uplift while minimizing impacts to existing natural resources. The Borough Council of the Borough of Ephrata reserves the rights to reject any or all RFPQ submissions; to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities or informalities in a RFPQ submissions or procedures; and to accept any RFPQ submissions which it may deem to be for or in the best interest of the Borough of Ephrata. This solicitation is a RFPQ only. Any contractor that is determined to be prequalified is not guaranteed to be awarded a contract for the project. Ephrata Borough Council reserves its future rights to formally solicit bids for the project, accept a bid, and award a contract by public announcement and subject to requirements applicable for posting of financial security including a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the ultimate contract price.
