Description | 1. Mechanically power sweep all paved areas a. The sweeping must be complete, including edges and gutters b. Close attention is to be paid to all curbs and corners on lots for accumulated debris 2. . The Vendor shall ensure that there will be no trails of dirt and dust left on the parking lots and no indication that the sweeper was present other than a clean parking lot. 3. Vendor shall remove all materials, debris or other obstructions from the parking lots scheduled for sweeping that may interfere with the sweeping operation. This shall be done by the Contractor at his own expense with no additional cost to the County. 4. Vendor shall remove all rubbish and debris from County property and legally dispose of it. Materials and debris must be administered in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws, regulations and ordinances, in compliance with all applicable regulations promulgated by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) 5. The Vendor shall provide and maintain in full operation at all times during the performance of the contract a sufficient crew of workers, tools, materials and mechanical sweepers to perform the work specified. 6. All sweeping equipment shall be equipped with strobe lights, flashers and all caution/safety systems in compliance with all applicable City, State and Federal requirements. 7. The Vendor shall submit a written daily report to the Facilities Manager documenting the parking lots completed for each day of sweeping 8. Vendor must note that ONLY rainwater is permitted to be discharged into storm sewers. Contractors dumping into or near the storm sewer are subject to fines and clean-up costs. The disposal of any clear, chemically treated or dirty water must be disposed of in a manner consistent with Federal, State and local guidelines 9. Prior to commencement of work, the Vendor shall furnish SDS sheets for all chemicals to be used (if any) in the performance of the scope of work to the Facilities Manager for approval. Chemicals used cannot be harmful to plants or building materials 10. Vendor shall respond within twenty-four (24) hours for optional sweeping work 11. The County will not be liable for damage to property due to the Vendor’s negligence. The Vendor will be responsible for repairing any damage to any area not considered as part of the work. 12. The Vendor shall furnish all supervision, labor, insurance and supplies necessary to perform parking lot sweeping services. The Contractor is responsible for providing proper equipment and trained personnel to fully execute the requirements of this contract. 13. The Vendor warrants that all services performed hereunder will be performed in a manner that complies with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances and professional standards |
