Description | The Bureau of Transportation Data and Support, from this point forward, referred to as BTD&S. The BTD&S acts as the state expert relied upon to develop and present sensible policy direction as it relates to traffic count collection, Weigh-in-Motion (WIM), and Traffic-Volume-Systems (TVS). The BTD&S is responsible for the management of the state responsibilities to collect traffic volume, classification, and weight data, as reported to the Federal Highway Administration, FHWA. The attached scope of work will address a data sharing and visualization of the Annual Average Daily Traffic (AATD) volumes. To develop or adopt a statistical model estimating AADTs for roadway segments without a physical traffic count. The contract will support the BTD&S effort to meet the NJDOT Model Inventory of Roadway Element (MIRE) requirements. It will aid the bureau’s initiative to add traffic volumes from different sources into the Traffic Monitoring System database. The selected consultant team will work with the state contract manager and his or her staff to determine a priority order of tasks. |
