Description

PUBMID-000579 Bids shall be received for the purchase of certain Construction Services in the Orleans Elementary School and the Orleans Junior/Senior High School, all in accordance with the bidding documents and specifications prepared by SitelogIQ, originally dated as of September 28, 2022 and including Addendums 1 and 2 dated October 12, 2022 and October 31, 2022 respectively (the "Bid Documents"), all of which is incorporated into this Notice to Bidders by reference (General Contractor described in the Bid Documents, collectively, the "General Trades"). Contact of any kind regarding any or all of the Equipment or any of the matters in this notice or the Bid Documents by any person or entity submitting a bid or any employee or agent of such person or entity with any member of the School Board or any employee of the School Corporation from the date of publication of this notice until the selection of award of the contract to purchase the Equipment by the School Board will be considered grounds for disqualification of such person or entity. Bids shall be opened publicly and read aloud. Any bid received after the date and time set forth above, as determined in the sole and complete discretion of the School Corporation, shall be returned unopened. All qualified bids must be submitted with a non-collusion affidavit in the form set forth in the Bid Documents. In addition, all responsive bidders shall furnish a Bid Bond or certified check for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount made payable to the Orleans Community School Corporation, Orange County, Indiana, as liquidated damages in the case of failure of any successful bidder to enter into a contract after notification of the acceptance of the bid. No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. All bids must be properly signed with the name of the individual, partnership, or corporation submitting the bid and the person authorized to sign for the individual, partnership, or corporation and their title. The School Corporation reserves the right to reject all bids for any reason or for no reason at all, to reject any bids it determines to be nonresponsive or non-responsible, and to terminate any or all of the award of Construction Services at no cost to the School Corporation at any time prior to selecting the successful bidder. The School Corporation also reserves the right to waive any irregularities or defects in any bids or in the Bid Documents, in its sole and complete discretion. All bidders that submit a bid acknowledge and agree to the foregoing rights of the School Corporation.
