2021-2024 Bridge Inspection And Structural Engineering Selection

Baseline services will include: •Serving as the City’s Program Manager for the NBIS Program, performing biennial bridge inspections for the 15 or so City structures in the National Bridge Inventory, and submitting those inspections to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). This selection covers inspections from Spring of 2021 through the Fall of 2024. •Providing on-call structural engineering services related to both the transportation system and City owned buildings. •Working with City staff to develop a plan for the repair and/or replacement of the structure on Duncan Road just south of Springfield Avenue. In addition to these baseline services, additional services may include:•Updating the City’s bridge management database as needed. •Aiding staff in identifying and prioritizing bridge repairs identified during inspections. •Providing design and/or construction engineering services for bridge maintenance and/or bridge replacement/rehabilitation projects. From the interviewed firms, the City will select one firm. The selected firm will be required to satisfy the City's Equal Opportunity in Purchasing Ordinance requirements.
