**As of September 6, 2022, project was awarded to Reggio Construction, Inc, awarded amount is $2,125,752.70..** sealed bids for 2021 STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT PHASE I, in the Township of West Orange, Essex County, New Jersey will be received at the Township of West Orange, Township Council Chambers, 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey. The work generally consists of approximately 14,000 linear feet of concrete/granite curb, 3,000 square yards of sidewalk, 46,000 square yards of HMA milling, and 6,000 tons of hot mix asphalt surface course, replacement various inlet casting & inlet repairs and related improvements; all in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. Consulting Engineers - Surveyors - Planners - Landscape Architects, 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, New Jersey. There is no additional charge should a prospective Bidder request the documents be forwarded by FedEx (using the Bidders own account number). Bidders are notified that they must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, as amended) and that award will not be made to any bidder whom the Commissioner of Labor and Industry does not certify. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. They must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Township Clerk, Township of West Orange, Essex County, New Jersey, and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the form provided of not less than 10% of the amount of bid. Said check or bid bond may not be less than $500 nor shall it be more than $20,000 and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety statement in the form provided from a Surety Company stating that the Surety Company will provide the bidder with a bond for 100% of the Contract amount in the event that the Contract is awarded to the bidder.
