Description

The Village of South Dayton (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the Village of South Dayton Sanitary Sewer System and Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project. Contract No. 1A includes improvements to the existing influent structure, rotating biological contactor, final clarifier, collection system pump station, and sanitary sewer system. This contract also includes the construction of a new sludge pumping station, effluent liquid chlorine disinfection and dechlorination system, and an electrical and chemical storage building. The Project includes the following Work: The project includes significant upgrades to the Villages Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and various improvements to the manholes, piping, and pump station in the collection system. Separate Bids will be received for the following Contracts: Contract No. 1A General Construction The Project has an expected duration of 365 days. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Village of South Dayton strongly encourages Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises and Section 3 Contractors to submit bids for this project. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.
