Minority and womens business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, materials and/or supply needs. The TIPPAH COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The TIPPAH COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in a contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual preference, marital or veteran status or any other legally protected status in consideration for an award. The successful bidder must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act which requires that all laborers and mechanics shall be paid at rates not less than those determined by the Department of Labor to be the prevailing for the locality in which the project is located. This project is being funded in part by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Grant #MS-19534 and the rules and regulations therein apply. The contract will be awarded as an entire job and individual items will not be let for separate work. Each bidder must deposit with this bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. For Bidders submitting bids electronically, the bond submitted must be either a bond issued by the Surety in electronic format or the original hard copy of the bid bond must be submitted to the TIPPAH COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OFFICE LOCATED 101 EAST SPRINT STREET, RIPLEY, MS 38663 prior to bid opening in order for the bid to be valid. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed contract, the Contractor shall furnish surety bonds subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. All applicable laws, ordinances and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation in respect to this Bid. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. |
