Description | Project Notes: - Substantial Date for Completion: 60 days after receipt of PO - Final Date for Completion: 75 days after receipt of PO Liquidated Damages: - $200 per day until Substantial Completion - $100 per day until Final Completion Project Description and Information: This invitation is for construction of a composting pad as specified in the following bid at Eastern Kentucky University's Meadowbrook Farm. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for the complete construction including all items as indicated throughout the attached specifications. Work will begin immediately following an official Award of Contract and Purchase Order from Eastern Kentucky University. A point of contact for EKU Project Management will be provided to the awarded vendor at time of award. Eastern Kentucky University reserves the right to award in part or in whole and to award multiple suppliers/contracts if in the best interest of the university. A. The EKU Meadowbrook Farm Composing Pad, located at 485 Whitt Road, Richmond, KY 40475 B. Base Bid: Project consists of grubbing site of all vegetation, leveling site with limestone base and extending base ten foot beyond concrete pad limits, compacting stone base, forming a concrete pad 120 foot wide by 150 foot long 6 inch thick minimum with 6x6 - W4xW4 wielding wire mesh reinforcing. Wire mesh shall be supported on stands or pulled into center of concrete during application. Concrete pad perimeter shall be turned down a minimum of 6 inch x 6 inch. Concrete shall be sawed within 48 hours of finishing for control joints at no more than 30 foot increments at a depth of 3 inch. Concrete shall be a 4,000 pound mix. Backfill perimeter with 4 inch of DGA stone ten foot beyond concrete pad limits minimum. C. Alternate 1: Contractor is to provide add alternate for additional concrete to the length of the pad. Alternate shall be per lineal foot of additional concrete. |
