Roof Replacement and Designated Repairs for Chocachatti Elementary School

Low Slope Roof Replacement (Buildings 1, 3, 4, and 5) a. Demolition: The existing coping, edge metals, and thru-wall flashings shall be removed along with the existing membrane system down to the existing LWIC roof deck. Once the LWIC is exposed, repairs shall be made to the substrate as needed based on unit cost allowance. The roof area shall be cleaned of all debris, in preparation for the new roof system. b. New low slope roof systems 1) All low slope roof areas: Fully adhere an energy gray 60 mil PVC single ply cap sheet system to the existing LWIC roof deck. 2) Roof Areas 3/E and 3/F: Fully adhere ¼” per foot tapered rigid insulation with a 1 ½” base layer to the LWIC roof deck. Fully adhere a ¼” thick cover board and energy gray 60 mil PVC single ply cap sheet system. 3) Roof Areas 3/G, 4/E, and 5/D: Fully adhere ¼” per foot tapered rigid insulation to the LWIC roof deck. Fully adhere a ¼” thick cover board and energy gray 60 mil PVC single ply cap sheet system. 2. Metal Roof Repair (Buildings 2 and 4) a. Remove sidewall flashings and portions of the metal panel roof system, and make repairs as shown in the details provided within this contract. Remove and replace stucco siding as needed to facilitate repairs. 3. Miscellaneous Conditions a. Roof Drains: To remain in place and be refurbished. b. Roof Access Ladder (Building 3): Remove and replace as shown in the details provided within this contract. c. Roof Access Ladder
