Description | The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Land Port of Entry ("CBP LPOE") has a verified need for a contractor to perform construction services at the Detroit Ambassador Bridge, located at 3033 Porter Street, Detroit, Michigan 48216. The scope includes but is not limited to the following work: Install security upgrades at passenger building, exterior pavilion, and two trailers and turnstiles. Upgrades include CCTV cameras, network video recorders, microphones, access control systems, instruction detection systems, door and hardware changes, and security fencing. The contract completion time for this project is ninety (90) calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. The contractor is to provide all management, supervision, manpower, equipment and supplies necessary for this project. The proposed contract is being solicited as a Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing the secure website, SAM (SAM.gov). SAM is designed to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) acquisition information and is fully integrated with other electronic Government initiatives. Registration in SAM is required to download solicitation documents and is used to validate vendor identity. Contractors not registered in this system will be ineligible to download the solicitation and ineligible for an award. Please note that a site visit request form (attached) MUST BE SUBMITTED by Thursday, August 10th by 12:00 PM in order to be granted attendance. Timeframes for Definitization of Equitable Adjustments on Change Orders Notice to Prospective Offerors: The information required by FAR 36.211 regarding the definitization of requests for equitable adjustments related to change orders under construction contracts can be found at https://www.gsa.gov/constructioncontractadmin. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Liquidated Damages: $352.07 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted for substantial completion. |
