Description

The Project consists generally of the following major items: The project consists of the replacement of approximately 1,000 feet of 18-inch through 36- inch RCP storm drainage systems with approximately 800 feet of 48-inch RCP and 240 feet of 8 foot x 4 foot concrete box culvert along with the associate curb inlets and junction boxes along a portion of Sierra Drive, Balboa Road and Lawrence Drive located in the southern portion of the City of Raleigh. The project also includes the relocation of approximately 240 feet of an 8-inch waterline and associate service connections. Most of the project is located along the existing street curb and gutter and will require the removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, concrete and asphalt driveways and the relocation of water service lines and meters and other features associated with the improvements within an existing residential neighborhood. The project will be performed in two phases, so the downstream improvements are installed prior to the upstream improvements and to reduce the disruption to the neighborhood traffic patterns.
