Mowers and Related Equipment

1. The intent of this solicitation is to establish multiple, ready and economical sources for mowers and related equipment, new purchases, parts and repairs. Requirements shall be for an open quantity of parts and materials, to be ordered on an as needed basis as may be required for the continuous upkeep, maintenance and repair of City-owned equipment and will cover any parts and equipment procured during the contract period. 2. The intent of this solicitation is to have multiple sources for equipment and repairs with guaranteed pricing. Therefore, this contract will be awarded to multiple Bidders. 3. The contract is not limited to the four (4) departments listed above and may be utilized by any department for maintenance and repair of any applicable City-owned equipment. 4. The contract is not limited to the brands specified on the Quote form; Bidders shall provide a “Balance of Line” discount for any purchases of parts and equipment made in their store by a City employee for a City purchase and shall also provide a standard hourly rate for maintenance and repairs on equipment other than those brands specified on the Quote Rate Form. 5. Bidders may submit quotes on as many manufacturers as they choose on the Quote Form and are not required to submit quotes on every manufacturer line item in order for their Quote to be considered. Bidders MUST at minimum submit quotes on the Balance of Line discount in order for their quote to be considered for award. 6. The City reserves the right to purchase parts, equipment and materials from other non-contract vendors when an awarded contractor is unable to meet the departments’ operational needs. 7. This contract is for pick-up of products from vendor’s location(s) by City staff, maintenance and repair of equipment that will be delivered and picked up by City staff from vendor’s location(s). As such, vendor’s parts and service location(s) must be located within a 25-mile drive of 120 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32907.
