Description | To Prepare a Proposal for Inmate Telephone and Public Coin Telephone equipment and service in Nueces County for local, IntraLATA, InterLATA, and interstate InterLATA. The inmate population of Nueces County is currently 959. The average number of local inmate collect calls made is 48,500 per month. Approximately 126 inmate telephones, 196 visitation telephones, and 10-coin telephones are presently installed on Nueces County properties. The maximum number of inmates that can be placed in a pod at the Main Jail is 72, with 4 pods; 4 phones per pod; there is also 1 dorm that houses 44 inmates and three linear floors that house 111, 112, and 48 inmates respectively and there are 13, 13, and 7 phones respectively per floor. The McKinzie Annex can place 48 inmates per pod; 3 pods; with 6 phones per pod; there are also 5 dorms that house 56, 58, 58, 48, and 48 inmates respectively and there are 4, 4, 3, 6, and 6 phones respectively per dorm; and lastly, there are 4 remote units with 24 inmates and 4 phones per unit. |
