Description | Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Decommissioning and demolition of the existing Watergate WWTP; Abandonment of portions of the existing Watergate WWTP influent 6-inch force main and effluent 6-inch force main; Replacement of submersible pumps at Spence's Point Pump Station; Construction of a replacement of the Watergate Lower Pump Station. The pump station includes gravity sewer tie-in, site work, a duplex submersible pump station, and associated piping, electrical, equipment, and appurtenances; Construction of 900-ft of proposed 6-inch sewer force main; Construction of the proposed Old Chapin Regional Pump Station. The pump station includes a paved access road, site work including two retaining walls, a triplex submersible pump station with diesel generator and electrical building, and associated piping, electrical, equipment, and appurtenances. No bid shall be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law and has a classification of General Contractor-Public Utilities and a sub classification of Water and Sewer Lines with the appropriate License Group Limitation for the Bid amount. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the OWNER, negotiable U. S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project as applicable. Any inquiry received before the close of business on Friday, October 6th, 2023 shall be given consideration.
