2022 Tar and Chip Program for Carmichaels Road and Laurel Run Road

Project 1 Aggregate Includes materials and delivery to provide approximately 500 tons of AASHTO #8 coarse aggregate (1.0% wash). Project 2 Emulsified Asphalt Includes materials, delivery, and placement of approximately 17,750 gallons of CRS-2PM (E-3M) emulsified asphalt material for the tar and chip program for Carmichaels Road and Laurel Run Road. Proposals must be on the forms furnished by the Township Engineer. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price, made payable to Greene Township. The bid envelope must be clearly marked GREENE TOWNSHIP AGGREGATE or GREENE TOWNSHIP EMULSIFIED ASPHALT. Greene Township reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals or any portion thereof. Attention of Bidders is called to the requirements concerning the payment of not less than the prevailing wage and salary rate provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 for the projects. Awarded bidder shall provide 100% Performance Bond for the project. Bids may be held by Greene Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the contract. A motion on the bids will be made at the Greene Township meeting held at 6 p.m. on Monday August 1, 2022.
