Description

Replacement of aging HVAC Equipment. Q & A deadline: Sep 26, 2022 7:00:00 PM EDT Scope of Project: The purposes of this RFB is to select a contractor for the replacement of aging HVAC equipment. The existing equipment to be replaced is 25+ years old and at the end of its useful life. Project needs to include the following but not limited to: disconnect and removing of existing heaters, condensing units, modifying of hanging supports, flue’s, gas line, power, control wiring, reconnection materials, cranes, scissor lifts, filter racks, supply and return air plenums and verification of proper operations, etc. See bid form for quantities and specifications. The City is desirous for replacement in late fall of 2022 with completion by winter of 2022. Bid Instructions and Information • Please submit your original bid on or before the bid deadline. • The submission package or envelope must be plainly marked with the following: (1) the Solicitation number, (2) the name of the item or service being sought. No responsibility will attach to the City, or to any official or employee thereof, for the pre-opening of, post-opening of, or the failure to open a submission not properly addressed and identified. Proposals must be submitted in writing. No oral, telephone, facsimile, or late submissions will be considered. All submissions must be received by email to cstephens@kaysville.gov or at the Kaysville City Parks and Recreation Building, 85 North 100 East, by September 27, 2022 at 5:00 pm. It is the submitting Vendor’s responsibility to timely submit their Proposal. • Additional sheets may be included if more room is needed for technical information, answers, and explanations. • The Owner is Kaysville City. • If a "Proposal Schedule" is present, the Schedule should be completely filled in by the Proposer and included in their proposal. Where proposal formats are requested, Proposer is to comply with all specifications. Intent of Bid It is the intent of this bid to describe the requirements being sought in sufficient detail. Contractors not in compliance with the specifications will not be allowed to bid on the project. Bidders Costs The Bidder will be responsible for all costs (including site visits where needed) incurred in preparing or responding to this RFB. All materials and documents submitted in response to the RFB become the property of the City and will not be returned. Evaluation of Bidder Before a bid will be awarded, the City may conduct reference investigations as is necessary to evaluate and determine the performance record and ability of the contractor(s) to perform the size and type of work to be contracted, and to determine the quality of the service being offered. By submitting a proposal, you authorize the City to conduct reference investigations as needed.
