Brown Road Stream Bank Stabilization

Project includes approximately 2100 ft. of streambank stabilization along the Brown Road Tributary to Cayuga Inlet. The proposed work consists of installing rock grade control structures along the channel to anchor the design bed elevation and maintain a constant and stable slope through the project area. Bank and channel grading and stabilization with planting will be performed to stabilize eroding banks and two stacked rock walls and one rip rap embankment will be constructed along the Brown Road embankment where the channel is in close proximity to the road. The walls are required because the steep valley walls of the opposite side of the bank would require an impractical amount of excavation to shift the channel away from the road.
