Description | The National Park Service (NPS), San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park (SAFR), located in San Francisco County, California, has a requirement for the removal and replacement of ceiling tiles and painting of the beams and stairwells on the third floor of the Aquatic Park Bathhouse. The contractor shall provide all mobilization, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, site rehabilitation, clean-up, and demobilization. The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to: 1. Ceiling: removal of existing adhered ceiling tiles, removal of existing adhesive on plaster substrate, preparation of the plaster substrate for new adhesive, and installation of new adhered acoustic ceiling tiles. 2. Canvas Repair: stabilize canvas substrates in areas to be painted that have detached from the plaster by re-adhering the canvas to the plaster. Canvas will be set back to its original plane and position and reattached to plaster substrates using adhesives. Adhesives shall be compatible with existing canvas and substrates an shall not stain, discolor, or dissolve existing substrates and/or paint. 3. Painting: preparation of wall, ceiling, beam and soffit surfaces for re-paining, repainting of wall, ceiling, beams and soffits. 4. Removal of light fixtures, exits signs and other equipment/ fixture components as required to access surfaces under such fixtures for painting and/or ceiling removal/installation, and the reinstallation of such fixtures or components. 5. Protect the art murals from contact, overpaint or any damage. |
