| Description | All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier s check or bid bond payable to the City Treasurer of the City of New Brunswick in the amount of ten percent of the bid, not to exceed twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars. Bids for contracts that require a performance bond must also contain a consent of surety. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. According to 40A:11-23, the City of New Brunswick is prohibited from receiving bids on Mondays or any day directly following a State or Federal Holiday.
