Description | Site clearing, earthwork operations, concrete curbs, walks and paving, stone masonry, carpentry, fencing, site furnishings, signage, planting and seeding, and utility installation. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashiers Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Quad City Botanical Center. The successful bidder, as determined by the Quad City Botanical Center, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of the Quad City Botanical Center (Rock Island County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Quad City Botanical Center, certified payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month. The Quad City Botanical Center reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Quad City Botanical Center. The Quad City Botanical Center encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
