Description

Douglas County Safe Routes to School Master Plan Carson City invites qualified firms to submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for the 2022 Douglas County Safe Routes to School Master Plan. The Transportation Division at Carson City Department of Public Works implements the Western Nevada Safe Routes to School (WNSRTS) program. This is a Federally funded Project. SOQ shall be submitted in accordance with the Documents and Requirements as set forth in the formal "Request for Qualifications." RECOMMENDATION FOR AWARD will be made by Carson City Public Works Transportation Division, based on the evaluation results of the Review and Selection Committee. Once the committee has made a recommendation, the results will be posted on Carson City's website and all respondents will be notified by e-mail of the recommendation for award to the successful respondent . FINAL SELECTION will be made by the Carson City Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) at a future scheduled meeting, or in accordance with the Purchasing & Contracts Policies and Procedure at an earlier date. Should it become necessary to reschedule the date set for award, notice will be provided to those finalists selected. In all instances, a decision rendered by RTC shall be deemed final. The Transportation Division at Carson City Department of Public Works implements the Western Nevada Safe Routes to School (WNSRTS) program and is seeking the professional services of consultants to support staff in conducting 2022 Douglas County Safe Routes to School Master Plan near and at schools within Douglas County. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to data collection, surveys, evaluation and recommendations for infrastructure improvements, coordination meetings, GIS mapping, implementation reports, presentations, and project management. The Consultants will conduct assessments of up to eleven (11) schools. The Douglas County Safe Routes to School Master Plan will encompass an area of no more than a 2-mile radius from each school. School study areas may be combined for co-located schools.
