The Flatwoods ERFO Repair Project

The Flatwoods ERFO Repair Project includes activities that will repair flood damage from the storms that occurred in February 2019. This project addresses damage on 6.39 miles of National Forest System Road (NFSR) 87. The work will consist of culvert replacement, road reconditioning, aggregate surfacing, and various other road reconditioning activities. The project is located southeast of Bristol, TN on National Forest System Road (NFSR) 87. To reach NFSR 87 from Bristol, TN take US-421 S 15.1 miles to Camp Tom Howard Rd. in Sullivan County. Turn Right on Camp Tom Howard Rd. and go 6.56 miles to project location. Project starts at the end of pavement left of Little Oak Campground Entrance. The project shall be completed within 150 days of contract award. The Government is planning to close NFSR #87 to the public fromMP6.56to12.95at theintersection of NFSRs 251,87,87D during the construction.
