Description | The work or improvement to be performed generally consists of diverting groundwater extracted from the Civic Center parking structure (18025 Bloomfield Avenue) and discharging it to the 18" vitrified day pipe (VCP) sewer main that runs north-south on Bloomfield Avenue. This project includes, but is not limited to, construction of a wet well, two (2) lift stations, several manholes, and new sewer lines. This project also includes dewatering of the subterranean orchestra pit at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (18000 Park Plaza Drive) by discharging collected groundwater to the existing local sewer line via the construction of a four-inch (4") sewer pipe and flow meter. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that the bid is received in the appropriate location by the deadline. Bids not received in the Office ofthe City Clerk by the deadline provided will not be considered. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security referred to in the Contract Documents and by a list of proposed subcontractors. Evidence of insurance, a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Warranty Bond, as specified in the Contract Documents, will be required prior to execution of the contract. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300, the bidder who is awarded the contract may substitute securities for retention money withheld by a public agency to ensure performance under the contract. The procedure and requirements for substituting said securities are set forth in Public Contract Code Section 22300, which is incorporated by this reference as set forth herein. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or portions thereof, or to waive any informality or irregularity in a bid to the extent allowed by law. PN - 2075.00, 2020-0351 The bidders attention is further directed to Section 9204 of the Public contract Code regarding the claims resolution process for all public works projects. Any dispute or claim against the City under a public works project shall be processed in accordance with Section 9204 of the Public Contract Code and any other applicable law. |
