Construction of section IV Cell V - Broome County

As of April 25, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. This project is included in the Broome County Capital Improvement Program fiscal year 2023-2028. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. A detailed scope has not yet been determined. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. Construction of Section IV Cell and V per Part 360 regulations in anticipation of Section IV Cell IV reaching capacity. If we move forward with the reclamation project and redevelop the Old Landfill as new landfill space this project will not be needed until a much later future year. If the reclamation project progresses there will not be a need to construct Section IV Cell IV for a number of years. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
