Clinton County-Courthouse Restoration Project

Contract No. 1 - General Construction and Project Coordination. Contract No. 2 - Electrical Construction.Contract No. 1, all construction work must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s “Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.” Work which consists of First and Second Floor Main Entry/ Lobby to Repair/ plaster all existing walls and paint as required. Skim coating of the walls and ceiling may be necessary. Restore and repaint all risers. Restore and refinish all treads and handrails as required. Restore and repaint all windows, window sills and window trim as required. Restore and repaint all base, wall, crown or other moldings as required. Court Room Repair/ plaster all existing walls and paint as required. Skim coating of the walls maybe necessary. Repair and paint all wood wainscoating as required. Repair/ plaster existing ceilings as required. Skim coating of the ceiling may be necessary. Repair/ repaint existing “Tin” ceiling as required. Allow for up to three colors or clear coat if deemed suitable. Restore and repaint all windows, window sills and window trim as required. Restore and repaint all base, wall, crown or other moldings as required. For Contract No. 2, all construction work must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s “Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.” Work consists of installing all wiring, switches, receptacles or other related items to be recessed in the walls as required. Provide new period correct lighting fixtures as required for the Main Entry/Lobby and Court Room. Provide conduits for future wiring for sound systems that maybe required.
