Description | **As of May 5, 2022 an award has not yet been made. Per the owner, bid results will not be made available until after the award is announced. The project is expected to be awarded on May 21, 2023. This project consists of all material, labor, and equipment necessary to construct approximately 714 FT of'HMA surface streets including a shared use path, CC & G, borrow excavation, storm sewers, water mains, sewer mains, and other miscellaneous appurtenances all located on Sioux Drive and Campground Road in Marion, Illinois. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). this contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130 /.01 etseq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors, to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. The Department revises the prevailing wage rates and the contractor/subcontractor has an obligation to check the Department's weh site for revisions to prevailing wage rates. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage requirements and notice and record keeping duties. The Procurement will be subject to regulations contained in the American Iron and Steel Requirement. he following proposal forms shall be returned by the Bidder to the Owner. o Contract Document (Cover Sheet) o Table of Contents o Advertisement of Bid o Instructions to Bidders o Bid Form / Schedule of Prices o Bid Bond Submission of a Bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty the Bidder has examined the Plans/Bid Documents and understands all requirements for the performance of Work. The Bid shall be placed in a sealed envelope and shall be marked to clearly indicate its contents. When sent by mail, the sealed Bid Documents shall be addressed to the Owner at the address and in care of the official in whose office the Bids are to be received. All Bid Documents shall be filed prior to the time and at the place specified in the Advertisement of Bid. Bid Documents.received after the time specified will be returned to the Bidder unopened. |
