Description | The Consultant shall supply construction material testing services on as-needed basis for one (1) year. The tasks may include construction observation, coring, sampling, testing, and preparation of report for the following tasks. Utility Trench Backfill a. In accordance with project technical specifications b. Moisture and Density Analysis: 1. Prepare not less than one (1) optimum moisture and maximum density curve for each type of existing or imported soil proposed for use in backfilling, including base course for paving. 2. Perform field density tests 3. Perform field moisture test 4. Test report. Concrete Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk a. In accordance with project technical specifications b. Moisture and Density Subgrade Analysis: 1. Prepare not less than one (1) optimum moisture and maximum density curve for each type of existing or imported soil proposed for use in backfilling, including base course for paving. 2. Perform field density tests 3. Perform field moisture test 4. Test report c. Concrete Sampling and Testing: 1. Review and approve concrete mix designs submitted by contractors 2. Insure only approved material is delivered to construction sites 3. Four cylinder set for each day’s pour 4. Slump test for each sample 5. Air content for each sample 6. Concrete temperature for each sample 7. Compressive Strength test at 7 and 28 days 8. Test report Asphalt Paving a. In accordance with project technical specifications b. Moisture and Density Subgrade Analysis: 1. Prepare not less than one (1) optimum moisture and maximum density curve for each type of existing or imported soil proposed for use in backfilling, including structural fill and base course for paving 2. Perform field density tests 3. Perform field moisture test 4. Test report c. Compaction test for Base Course and Fill d. Sampling and testing of asphalt. |
