Description | Rehabilitation of the Wall North, Glimmer Glass, Wreck Pond, and Brielle Pump Stations within the Township of Wall, the Borough of Brielle, and the Borough of Manasquan, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The work for these four (4) pump stations shall include, but in no way limited to, provision and implementation of bypass pumping system; shutdown and isolation of existing sewage pumps wet wells; demolition of existing concrete diversion walls, floors and flow channels within wet wells; and installation of new FRP grating levels as well as the installation of stainless steel or concrete structural support systems all as noted on the Contract Drawings. Additional work shall include cleaning and repairing of all interior concrete surfaces within each wet well; cleaning and rehabilitation and coating of metal surfaces to remain in each wet well; installation of epoxy coating system on all existing wet well surfaces; installing new stainless steel trash basket with associated mounting and railing requirements; installation of both davit crane hoists and fall protection/retrieval hoists; and installation of flood protection measures, as shown on the drawings and specified herein. In addition to the work described above, work uniquely designated at the Brielle Pump Station shall include installation of new aluminum flow channel within wet well; cutting of existing wet well top slab with installation of new fall safe hatch access; construction of architectural and facade improvements to the existing building; and installation of a 6-foot vinyl fence around the pump station site. The work shall be completed within 365-days of notice to proceed. However, it shall be specifically understood that the actual construction time frame where Contractors will be permitted to bypass sewage at the Contract pump stations will be limited to between September 3, 2019 and May 21, 2020. Contractors shall further note that they will be permitted to bypass flow at no more than 2-pump stations at any given time between September 3, 2019 and May 21, 2020. |
