Description | The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select qualified contractors for on-call sidewalk and small infrastructure construction projects. Individual project cost will be based on the submitted Unit Prices per the contractor selected. The term of contract shall be for a three (3) year period with one (1) optional annual renewal. The projects vary in magnitude and scope and often include storm drain installation, concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalk construction. All work will be performed and completed to the complete satisfaction and acceptance of the City. Contractor shall guarantee all work for a period of one (1) year from the date of acceptance or first beneficial use, whichever is first, against defective materials, design, workmanship and improper adjustment. Contractor will abide by any and all applicable professional standards, local codes, manufacturers' recommendations, and safe work practices and will secure any or all applicable permits or licenses to complete the described work. The contractor will be responsible for restoring lawns and landscaped areas to pre-construction conditions. This includes reconnecting or repairing any damaged irrigation systems, installing new turf, and replacing any bed materials that have been removed. Turf replacement shall be with materials of like kind (i.e. Bermuda sod with Bermuda sod, fescue lawn with fescue seed). Where visible, irrigation valves have been shown on the utility plans for convenience. The contractor is responsible for verifying the presence of irrigation systems and for coordinating relocation with the property owner.
