Construction of the Department of Public Works (DPW) Building and Equipment Annex Project

Contract No. 1 General Construction Contract No. 2 Electrical Contract No. 3 Mechanical (HVAC) Contract No. 4 Plumbing Principal features of the Work to be performed under this project are defined in the Contract Documents and include the following: 1.Construction of a new 9,500 square foot building to house existing Department of Public Works (DPW) vehicles and equipment located on Palumbo Place In the Vilage of Bronxville. 2.The building is a pre-engineered type with rigid steel frame members, metal wall panels, standing seam metal roof system, concrete foundation, brick piers and exterior foundation wall veneer, translucent wall panel sections, windows, overhead doors and entry doors. 3.The building interior includes a =1,000 square foot mezzanine with office space, bathroom, locker room and meeting/break room, The area below the mezzanine wil include shop space, storage and utility rooms. Areas on the lower level will be partitioned by CMU walls; upper level spaces will be partitioned using metal studs and gypsum drywall. Upper level spaces wil be finished with acoustical tie ceilings, rubber/tile floor coverings, metal entry doors, toilet and kitchenette fixtures and equipment Access to the mezzanine wil be provided by two (2) sets of interior metal stairs. 4. Vehicle maintenance equipment to be installed in the new DPW building includes a vehicle service lift vehicle wash bay, workstation bridge crane, vehicle exhaust abatement system, and a centralized compressed air system. 5,Site preparation and development activities wil include demolitions and removal earth excavation, site grading. site utility insolation, asphalt paving, retaining wall installation, sidewalk and curb installation, and site landscaping, 6.Construction of the new DPW building shall consist of General Construction work. Electrical work, Mechanical (HVAC) work, and Plumbing work.
