Description | The Invest in Us project will consist of; upgrading the ARCH's 17-year-old HVAC units with energy efficient units; upgrading the facility's lighting systems and their controls; and replacing existing exterior doors, all of which will increase effectiveness while decreasing the amount of energy we use. We have been depending on the outdated air conditioning units which exceed the standard industry 15-year life expectancy for these types of units and experiencing major failures in these units the last several years. Therefore, we will replace these units with high efficiency equipment meeting or exceeding current energy codes. We will also upgrade and replace the outdated lighting systems and doors which are high energy cost burdens on the facility utility bills due to their age and technology. Rehabilitation work will include: • Update the current 11 outdated HVAC units to energy efficient units that ensure our facility stays in code, is operating to the best of its ability, and is more comfortable for our participants and groups • Update the current lighting system with safer, cooler, energy efficient 60 lights in our facility with a more automated on/off system, thus reducing energy consumption (25 high bay gymnasium lights fixtures;10 track mounted stage light fixtures;12 exterior lights; 3 interior lights;10 parking lot lights) • Update the doors of the facility to create a secure and energy-efficient building with 25, more-effective, airtight doors that do not let the extreme heat inside, thus overworking the HVAC units |
