CMC Parking Lot Addition Project

Reference Number: 0000322768 Source ID: PU.AG.USA.1254.C15252201 Colorado Mountain College's Steamboat Springs Campus located at 1275 Crawford Ave., Steamboat Springs, CO is requesting quotes from qualified firms and/or individuals to construct additional parking lots. CMC has built a new 36-unit apartment building on its 63-acre Steamboat campus. Since construction began in July 2022, CMC has been exploring options to increase parking on the campus. Working with Baseline Engineering, the college has identified four proposed parking areas on campus identified as Bogue parking (23 spaces), Academic Building parking (19 spaces), Hill Hall parking (21 spaces), and Hill Hall Access parking (8 spaces). The parking areas will be paved and striped and include lighting. In some of the parking areas there are storm sewer improvements and retaining walls of varying heights. Stormwater detention and permanent stormwater quality features are required. A new stormwater pond is proposed adjacent to the Academic Building parking area that will detain and treat runoff from the Bogue and Academic Building parking areas. An existing pond located to the east of Bob Adams Drive and Bristol Hall will be enlarged to detain and treat runoff from the Hill Hall and Hill Hall Access parking areas. Adequate snow storage areas are identified in the development plans. The Hill Hall Parking lot will also include a landscaped area for student gathering and activities.
