Plans for Bridge Replacement Prestressed Concrete Slab Bridge No. 1001900 on Md Rte. 17 (Burkittsville Road) Over Middle Creek The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Number: AC-STBG-G-1083(7)E Replacement of Bridge No. 10019 on MD 17 over Middle Creek in Frederick County, Maryland. The new bridge will be a 55 ft. prestressed concrete slab bridge with a 45 ft. wide roadway. The work includes the removal of the existing two span concrete slab bridge, 0.08 miles of approach roadway reconstruction, stream stabilization work, signing, and permanent pavement striping. Traffic will be maintained during construction with a temporary signal. Pre Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this contract. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
