Description | The Cottonwood Water and Sanitation District (The District) requests formal proposals (RFP) for the Cottonwood Water and Sanitation District Weekly Trash and Bi-weekly Recycling Services. The project contemplated consists of weekly trash pickup/haul away, bi-weekly recycling pickup/haul away and other services as described in the RFP. Each Proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the District, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents. The District is located along the northern border of Douglas County and is bisected by Parker Road with 2/3 of the District within the Town of Parker and the remainder in unincorporated Douglas County, Colorado. Bidders shall submit all questions in writing to Ms. Conover (kelly@mulhernmre.com) and Laurie Tatlock (Laurie@mulhernmre.com) no later than 3:00 pm, October 26, 2022. Questions received after this time will be addressed at the discretion of the District. The District will periodically compile a list of Bidders questions and respond in writing to all Bidders registered on the District s Plan Holder List . The District s preferred method of written communication is via electronic mail. If any major clarifications are needed, an addendum will be sent to all bidders. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall hold or obtain such contractors and business licenses, as may be required by applicable law. Before a Contract will be awarded for the work contemplated herein, the District will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low Bidder to perform the size and type of work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the District to evaluate the Bidders qualifications. The successful bidder shall be selected based on the bidder s ability to successfully complete the project in a timely manner as well as the bidder s total amount to provide trash collection services per household. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive or conditional Bids, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which, however, shall not extend beyond 60 days from the bid opening date unless a different period is set forth in the Contract Documents. |
