Replacement of County Bridge #364.15 Carrying Locust Lane Over Harry's Brook

Replacement of County Bridge #364.15 carrying Locust Lane over Harry’s Brook in the Municipality of Princeton, Mercer County, New Jersey. The work to be performed under this contract includes the demolition and removal of the existing deck and superstructure of Bridge 364.15 and the partial removal of the bridge seats. The abutments will be extended with full height cast in place concrete to widen the structure. The existing bridge seats will be reconstructed with cast in place concrete and concrete closure walls and wingwalls constructed to tie into existing retaining walls along the waterway. The superstructure will consist of steel welded plate girders with a composite reinforced concrete deck with a 1” thick protective deck overlay and approach slabs. The proposed roadway cross section at the bridge will consist of two (2) 12-foot travel lanes, two (2) 3-foot unstriped shoulders, one (1) 5-foot sidewalk, a brush curb, and steel railings.
