Description | North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Division of Water Infrastructure is funding this project through American Rescue Plan Act from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund (Project No. SRP-W-ARP-0244). The Project consists of clean out of biosolids from the City's wastewater treatment plant North Basin and full-service land application and disposal of all materials removed. Work consists of the following: Sampling of deposited biosolids in the North Basin. Permitting as required for land application of removed Class B biosolids. Site preparation as necessary for basin cleanout. Land application of an estimated 3.5 million gallons of liquid biosolids. Dewatering by use of sandbeds and landfill or land apply 250 cubic yards of cake solids. All work on this project is subject to MBE/WBE requirements. Each Bid must be accompanied by a BID BOND payable to the Owner for five (5) percent of the total bid amount. A CERTIFIED CHECK in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the bid amount may be submitted in lieu of a BID BOND. A PERFORMANCE BOND and PAYMENT BOND, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The OWNER reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in bids received and to reject any and all bids and to award the contract where it appears to be in the best interest of the Owner. Bidder must either be a licensed Contractor in the State of North Carolina or have a Certificate of Authority to transact business in the State of North Carolina in order to be considered a Responsive Bidder. |
