For cleaning the supply and return or exhaust ducts at Pine Towers and Smith Manor. Smith Manor, 600 N. Vanburen Street (140 apartments, five stories) has heating and ventilation generation equipment on the 2nd floor. Fresh air is supplied vertically to each floor and then horizontally to three separate duct runs to a distribution grille. Exhaust air flows from each bathroom grille into vertical metal ducts to 18 separate rooftop exhaust fans. Pine Towers, 306 S. Walnut Street (109 apartments, nine stories) has rooftop HVAC MUA with energy recovery installed in 2012. Fresh supply air is directed through a single chase with distribution grilles on each floor and laundry rooms. Return air flows from each apartment bathroom grille to a vertical metal duct to the roof top energy recovery unit. No clean-out access doors exist on the eight vertical return runs. Additionally, Pine Towers has one ground floor apartment with an independent exhaust fan and duct and Pine has two laundry rooms with dryers that use a common exhaust duct and a fan and louver that will need to be cleaned
