Professional Architectural and Engineering Services for the Addition of a New Entrance Canopy at the Monmouth County Eastern Branch Library in the Borough of Shrewsbury

Architectural and engineering services shall include a detailed review of the areas of the building that is to receive the new canopy structure. The design of lighting, security cameras, signage and any other existing or newly proposed systems related to the canopy structure. The design of the canopy shall take the building’s original aesthetic design concepts and materials palette in consideration in creating a complimentary canopy design that blends seamlessly into the existing building’s style and look.The intent of the project at the Eastern Branch Library is to add a new deeper canopy at the existing main entrance for the purpose of protecting staff and clients from the elements as they enter the building. The existing minimal depth canopy may be extended, or the existing canopy replaced with a new canopy. Interested Consultants and their sub-consultants should have specialized expertise and demonstrate extensive experience in this specific type of building, the addition of similar canopy structures to existing buildings and these types of operations, and shall demonstrate this expertise in their proposal. The Consultants shall indicate in their proposal the number of similar type buildings and canopies that they have designed and shall identify their specific role in those projects.
