Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project

The proposed improvements to the Sanitary Sewer System include point repairs, the CIPP lining of 16,000 feet of 8" sewer line, service lateral grouting, manhole lining, manhole replacement, and other various repairs to the sewer system. This procurement is also subject to the loan recipient's policy regarding the increased use of disadvantaged business enterprises. The loan recipient's policy requires all bidders to undertake specified affirmative efforts at least sixteen (16) days prior to bid opening. The policy is contained in the specifications. Bidders are also required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in 41 CFR 60-4." The Village of Marine reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid should it consider same to be in its best interest. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening. All work will be constructed in accordance with the "Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois", latest edition.
