Description

Project 1: DOT certified shell road base material (Code B02 - Bank Run Shell Base) will be supplied, delivered, spread, and graded on Tram Grade (Figure 2). Access to this site will be from Highway 74 to North Unit Grade (approximately 6 miles east of the intersection of State Road 31 and Highway 74). The location of the repair begins approximately 6.3 miles from Highway 74. The material will then be spread and graded for an approximate maintenance distance of 0.61 miles (3,221 feet); estimate of 90 loads or 1,980 tons. The shell is to be spread and graded to a minimum depth of 6 inches and a width of 14-18 feet. The finished roadway should have at least a 4-inch center crown to allow water flow from surface. The material will then be spread and graded for an approximate maintenance distance of 1.2 mile (6,494 feet); estimate of 171 loads or 3,960 tons. The shell is to be spread and graded to a minimum depth of 6 inches and a width of 14-18 feet. The finished roadway should have at least a 4-inch center crown to allow water flow from surface. This site is 1.2 miles in length.
