Description

The City of Spring Hill needs to construct a new Community Services Annex. This facility is expected to be the new home for Public Works, Fleet, Water Distribution, Sewer Collections, Information Technology, Geographical Information Systems, Capital Improvements, Planning, Engineering, Codes, Utility Administration, and multiple material and vehicle storage areas. The City of Spring Hill is pursuing options for a new 45,000 to 55,000 square feet facility that would address the following needs. The City requests SOQs for qualified architectural firms to design a new Community Service Annex with a design scope as follows: An architectural design that meets the growth needs as determined by input from staff within each of the identified departments and the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Multiple office/conference areas An interactive lobby where citizens can perform financial transactions as well as be informed about current and future projects within the city. Training/Classrooms Modular Community Meeting room that can also be used as an emergency shelter. Fitness/locker rooms/showers The City reserves the right to (1) reject any or all responses, (2) select a firm or individual who has submitted a fully responsive Statement of Qualifications and is determined by the City to be in the best interest of the City, (3) reserves the right to waive defects and informalities of the submissions, or (4) take whatever action or make whatever decision it determines to be appropriate. The City of Spring Hill assumes no obligation in this general solicitation of Statements of Qualifications and all of the costs and expenses in responding to this RFQ shall be borne by the interested firms, teams or individuals. The City of Spring Hill reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to waive any irregularities, and waive or modify any provisions of this request for qualifications, and to make the final determination as to the best architect for the project. The City of Spring Hill will not discriminate in the purchase of all goods and services on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or any other lawfully protected classification. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
