Description

West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors (BOG) located in Morgantown, West Virginia (WVU or University) is initiating this Request for Bids (RFB) from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for provide all labor, material, equipment, and traffic control required for the removal and disposal of one hundred and seventy-three (173) steel guideway fascia panels, and 1200 linear feet of steel safety railings, and associated coping and walkway plates at the Beechurst PRT Station. Locations and details of these items are shown in the attached drawings and photos. You must also submit the TOTAL LUMP SUM for the Service section. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated . The date of issuance of the West Virginia Universitys Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion. The bid/proposal process is highly controlled. To protect the integrity of the process, any questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Bid/Proposal must be handled through the Department of Procurement, Contracting, & Payment Services. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia Universitys Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion if contract time stated below is in number of calendar days. Final Completion shall be August 1, 2023 Final Completion is considered when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the owner. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia Universitys Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
