Description

As of May 27, 2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 8, 2022. Phase 1: (Rehabilitation ofBasketball Court & Construction ofDog Park.) Level site at new Dog Park and provide synthetic turf. - Provide new lighting and furnishing at the Dog Park. Existing Basketball Court equipment and chain-link fence rehabilitation. Replacement ofthe existing asphalt court floor surface in its entirety. Provide new color-coating at the existing Basketball Court. Existing path lighting and park furnishings replacement. Existing sport poles & lights replacement. Phase 2: (Outdoor Fitness, Playground, and Mini Soccer Field) Remove of existing pathways, path lights, furnishings, and fencing. Remove of existing playground. Site grading. New trees planting. Landscaping and mulch. Provide retaining walls, curbs, and fencing. New walkways, and ramps. Install path lighting, and furnishing. - Construction ofnew Outdoor Fitness Area. Construction ofnew Playground Lower & Upper Tier and underdrain system along with amenities building. Construction oftwo concrete cast-in-place amphitheater seating & steps. Construction ofthe new Restroom & Storage structure. Sound-barrier wall installation along the playgrounds and the soccer field. Installation of concrete retaining wall less than 4 feet in height as shown on the plans. Construction on a new synthetic turfMini-Soccer Field along with foul ball netting and underdrain system. Sport lights installation Phase 3: (ParkAlley & Habitat Community Garden) Remove of existing pathways, path lights, furnishings, and fencing. Site grading. Provide retaining walls, curbs, fencing, and railing. New walkways, steps, and ramps. Installation ofpaths lighting, and furnishing. Construction oftwo shading pergola structures. Light fixtures for the pergola, buildings and all other fixtures as indicated on the plans. Construction ofHabitat Community Garden along with Storage Building, concrete pavement and hose bibs. Placement of electrical equipment inside storage building as shown on the electrical plans. Provide and install new planters in the Habitat Community Garden. Landscaping and mulch. Water service line from existing backflow preventer to the community garden and bathroom building. Utilize existing water service as shown. Each bidder shall deposit with his bid a certified check or cashiers check, or bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond (cash will not be accepted) drawn to the Town of West New York, in the amount of ten percent and not to exceed $20,000 of the total bid, as provided in the said specifications, as a guarantee of good faith in bidding and shall also submit a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with a bond in such sum as is required in the advertisement or in the specifications. Bidders Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of P.L. 1975, C.127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27). Bidders are required to comply with P.L. 2004 c. 57 (Chapter 57) (Business Registration Law) as more specifically set forth in bid specifications. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 as set forth in bid specifications. The Town of West New York reserves the right to waive informalities in bids and to reject any and all bids, if deemed in the best interest of the Town so to do. Bids for said Contract must be based upon and in strict accordance with the aforesaid specifications. All Bids must be stated in words and figures. The burden is upon the Bidder to comply specifically with the directions in the Notice to Bidders. The Bidders are put on notice that because of precautions resulting from terrorist threats, packages may be opened if directed to the wrong office of the Town. Any Bid not delivered in the manner as set forth in this Notice to Bidders shall be declared void. All bids must be submitted on forms for that purpose to be obtained from RSC Architects along with the drawings and specifications. All Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the Town Clerk of Town of West New York, the envelope shall have marked conspicuously on its face on the top right-hand side in letters not less than one inch the word Public Bid followed immediately below those words in letters not less than one half inch highPark Improvements, Playgrounds & Dog Park at Miller Park (2nd OCCASION) and underneath that To be received on or by Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 at 11:00 am. If Bids are to be accepted by mail or courier, the Bids must be placed in an outer envelope, which on the top right-hand side shall clearly designate in the same manner as set forth, the same size and information. The inner envelope shall have specifically placed in the center the same information as set forth above and on the bottom left-hand side the name and address of the Bidder.
