Description

During the pandemic, there was increased need of additional Information Technology (IT) system due to large amount of staff teleworking, supporting telehealth services, and additional staff work spaces to support social distancing. Upon evaluation, it was determined that the additional cabling was needed to expand the IT system within the facility. Unity is requesting to rewire network cabling on the top floor of the Facility. Panduit Cat 6 network cabling Panduit mini com tx6 , Panduit faceplates Panduit patch panels and fiber cabling between the wiring closets and IDF/MDF as needed. Installation of 75 network/phone/camera drops. The proposed vendor will label jacks according to the existing building scheme or as otherwise requested at time of installation by UHC, and shall use shielded cable for runs which may experience interference from other equipment along the run’s path. Appropriate wire management components should be used as specified by UHC IT. Drops shall be color coded according to UHC procedure. The vendor shall utilize wiring that is appropriately fire-rated and in compliance with all fire and electrical codes. All penetration points in the ceiling and walls will be sealed once completed. All existing cable will be removed and discarded after new runs have been made. The installation of Panduit J-Pro hooks will be required for cable management. Panduit patch cables will be provided by the vendor from the patch panel to the switches. Other: Unity is a youth treatment facility and operates 24hrs/day. The vendor would need to ensure compliance with facility visitor requirements and support installation procedures as best possible that respect patient services.
