Description

5.1. Detailed Scope of Contract Overtime shall be defined as work performed on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and after 5:00 PM on weekdays. All overtime must be approved in writing by the Assistant Director, Facilities, or Superintendent, Facilities. The City shall pay only on hours worked. Travel, lunch, and personal time are not considered hours worked unless approved in writing by Assistant Director, Facilities, or his/her designee. Written estimates may be required prior to commencement of each job. Final cost shall not exceed ten percent (10) % of written estimate. Only the Director of the using department may, in writing, waive this clause. In emergency situations, estimates will be required to be submitted within 24 hours. The City reserves the right to perform similar work under separate contracts. In cases of installation, vendor shall be responsible for removal/disposal of existing doors and all electrical connections. The City of Pittsburgh reserves the right to retain ownership of any salvageable parts. Contractor must provide twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week emergency service. Contractor shall field verify measurements, clearances, and electrical type and capacity.
