Description | The project base bid involves construction of a synthetic turf multipurpose athletic field and associated amenities. Associated amenities include but are not limited to retaining walls, curb, fencing, netting, stormwater management system, grading, water, electrical, gas, sanitary sewer, and telecom utility upgrades. The synthetic turf is to be purchased and installed by others. The sportsfield lighting is to be purchased directly by the Township but accepted on site and installed by the awarded contractor. Contract Documents and Drawings for the proposed work, which have been prepared by CARL P. OBRIEN, P.E., P.P., C.M.E., C.P.W.M. of the firm Colliers Engineering and Design Inc. dba Maser Consulting are available electronically or via delivery by common carrier beginning on Thursday, September 14, 2023, by making a request to kimberly.trella@collierseng.com or jeffrey.betz@collierseng.com. Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder on the face of the envelope, and clearly marked with the name of the contract being bid. Bids must be submitted at the time and place above specified and will be opened and read immediately thereafter. Bids will be accepted by mail or in person at the time specified. No Proposal, either by mail or in person, will be accepted after the date and hour specified. In the case of mailed Proposals, the Township assumes no responsibility for bid proposals received after the date and time specified. Bids must be submitted on a standard form. Upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed, the successful bidder shall complete construction within one hundred fifty (150) calendar days. The Mayor and Council reserve the right to waive any informalities and reject any and all bids. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. The work generally consists of site grading, construction of a modular block retaining wall, installation of stormwater management infrastructure, installation of synthetic turf stone base construction of an HMA access driveway, ADA curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces, and installation of curb and sidewalk as required. If any person contemplating submitting bids for the proposed work is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of these proposed contract documents, a submission may be made to the Engineer, CARL P. O'BRIEN, P.E., P.P., C.M.E., C.P.W.M., Colliers Engineering & Design Inc. dba Maser Consulting, 400 Valley Road, Suite 304, Mount Arlington, New Jersey 07856, a written request for an interpretation thereof |
