All questions must be received by Wednesday, Feb 11, 2022 by 5:00PM Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Reconstruction of Milford Point Road, A Coastal Resiliency Project Milford Point Road Milford, Connecticut The work for this project generally involves raising the elevation of a section of Milford Point Road between 2nd Avenue and Seaview Avenue through reclamation, fill addition, and repaving Milford Point Road. In addition, the section of Milford Point Road between Marsh Street and Seaview Avenue will be milled and repaved. Associated work includes new curbing, concrete sidewalk, drainage, and new tidal marsh boardwalk. Click on "Services", select "Departments", then "Purchasing Department" then "Current Bids" on or after Wednesday, December 22, 2021. A Bid Bond of 5% of the total bid is required and must accompany each bid. Bids must be held firm for 90 days. The successful bidder must file a 100% Performance Bond, a 100% Labor and Materials Bond, and Certificate of Insurance on notice of Contract award. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any part thereof, waive defects in same, or accept any bid deemed to be in the City's best interest. In accordance with Connecticut General Statute Sections 4a-100 and 4b-91, a responsible bid must contain two (2) documents: The Contractor Prequalification Certificate and the Update (Bid) Statement. The classification SITEWORK is required as a minimum. Bidders' attention is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, minimum state and federal wage rates to be paid, payroll submission requirements under the contract, and Connecticut General Statute 4a-60g (Set-aside program for small contractors and minority business enterprises). |
