Description | Last day for questions and clarifications is March 1, 2023 at 5:00 PM Arizona Local Prevailing Time. Please must be submit all questions through Tempe Union High School District E-Procurement systems at tuhsd.bonfirehub.com. This project involves the replacement of two ARES evaporative cooler with attached furnaces. These two (2) units are on the roof of 1000 building at McClintock High School and provide heating and cooling to the Physical Education locker rooms. Remove, Furnish and Install Two (2) Evaporative Coolers with attached Furnaces Location: McClintock High School 1830 E. Del Rio Drive Tempe, Arizona 85282 Existing Equipment Information: o Manufacturer: ARES o Model: 400 NESE DFO o Fuel: Natural Gas Furnace o Voltage: 120/Single Phase o CFM: 6000 Scope: o Remove the existing evaporative cooler units with attached furnaces; o Use existing roof curbs if possible if not replace with roof curbing that will accommodate replacement equipment; o De-energize power and prepare for connection to the replacement units; o Disconnect existing controls and prepare for connection to the replacement units; o Disconnect the existing gas piping and prepare for connection to the new furnaces; o Disconnect the existing water line and prepare for connection to the new evaporative coolers; o Furnish and install the new evaporative cooler/furnaces onto the roof of the 1000 building; and o Any roofing repairs to be made by roofing contractor. Special instructions: o The Contractor shall confine operations at the site to areas permitted by law, ordinances, permits and the Contract Documents, and shall not unreasonably encumber the site with any materials or equipment. The existing facility will be occupied Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3PM. No work to occur during those days and hours. Contractor must work evenings, nights and weekends to complete the scope of work; and o The Contractor will have the option to work during school hours if they can prove that it will disrupt the operation of school and compromise life safety. The District/Owner will still have the final decision regarding if the Contractor can work or not work during school hours. |
