Janitorial Services

The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposal is to establish a multiple award, fixed priced contract with qualified firms to provide Janitorial Cleaning Services for six (6) Elderly and Disabled Midrise apartment buildings, the Grandy Village Learning Center, Calvert Square EnVision Center, Young Terrace Community Center (Senior Center and Gym included) and Diggs Town Recreation Center, all located throughout the City of Norfolk, Virginia. The selected firms shall have experience in providing comprehensive Janitorial Cleaning Services for similar types and sizes of elderly apartment communities and community centers comparable to that of Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, (NRHA). No question shall be answered after that date The resultant contract will be a fixed price level of effort for up to five (5) years; one base year and up to four (4) one-year contract renewal options. OPTION EXERCISE - The contractor will be notified ninety (90) days prior to the end of the contract whether an option year will be exercised, or not. Option exercise is the sole right and prerogative of NRHA. The contractor shall be obligated by acceptance of an awarded contract for the base year and each option year.
